2_2 Collective Statement of Faith number 2.jpg

God: We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (see footnote 1 for Scripture reference).

The Bible: We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct (2).

Jesus Christ: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory (3).

The Work of Christ: We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit (4).

The Holy Spirit: We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, baptize, fill, comfort, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service (5).

The Church: We believe that the true church comprises all who have been justified by God’s grace through faith alone in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head (6).

Unity: We believe in the spiritual and visible unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church. This unity, as prayed for by our Lord Jesus Christ, will be visible to the world and will cause the world to know and believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God (7).

Christ’s Return: We believe in the personal and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission (8).

Wedding of Christ to The Church: God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other, portraying the coming wedding of the Lamb of God to His bride, the Church. God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage between one male by birth and one female by birth (9).

Eternal Destiny: We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to eternal condemnation and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace (10).

This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
